Anisotropic heat conduction with pyrolytic graphite
Просмотров 6 тыс.9 лет назад
Anisotropic Heat Conduction A thin piece of pyrolytic graphite in thermal contact with a finger cuts through an ice cube. This material, of layered graphene, has excellent electron and thermal conductivity along the layers, but poor conductivity through the layers. This made it good heat shielding material for re-entry vehicles. It's diamagnetic properties are also anisotropic, with a very stro...

Fascinating...simply Fascinating
light is not a wave! light is a coaxial, compression/rarafaction of the aether. there is nothing moving from here to there!
Hermoso, mejor explicado, imposible
Who is from india ...🇮🇳.
Interesting.
Seems it was caused by the resonance of the majority of them, because they had a similar action, it compounded and caused the ones that were unique, to try to match the external forces acting upon them. I'm sure there is also an inverse force on the ones that were already close to synchronization. Eventually the rolling back and forth would synchronize them. Very interesting
Why are they on a piece of wood balanced on tin cans?
So that you can see that as they become synchronised the whole thing starts to roll back and forth. as the weight shifts. It also helps put them into sync - the routine of each individual metronome is influenced by the rhythm of the rocking of the platform
These must be North Korean?
this is Gold. did not understand this while reading

Watching at 2024🗿❤️
And I always thought spontaneous meant like "without a cause". This experiment taught me otherwise.
OK, now I know how starfish move without a brain. Wait...what? It is an interesting phenomena, but no idea how it relates to how starfish move with no brain.
If starfish lives on earth a long or may be hundred of millions of years before man, who taught it about the physics law and how when it doesn't have a brain and man has a brain so many times bigger than the whole of it's size? And only man may have know about it recently while starfish discovered about it millions of years before man...😅
"Still like that old time rock 'n' roll"
May be one elementary question from just a layman perspective, no clue at all about metronomes physics description or marine biology description of starfish, and derived from only a grand question from the middle age but not answered yet. I think anyone find it no easy the easy but grand question of Thomas Aquinas back in the middle ages especially the scientist in a scientific way, may be! You said starfish doesn't have a brain, it's okay and it can be. You said metronome is responsible for it's movements (afterwards may be), then it's okay too and it can be. But how could it manage to make it's first move or how does it get it's first move (if it's due to external physical force how could it manage to integrated it to its metronome)? I know I may sound... but I have to ask.
"If you rockin', I'm rollin'!
Like good little Nazis they all snapped into line and started goose stepping😂
Its like watching Trump sheeps at one of his rallies ...
I was tempted to buy three metronomes at $35 each and do this myself.
A visual example of peer pressure.
It's about time...
If the water is contained in plastic , would the magnet not be reacting to it rather than what's inside?
Time heal everything ❤
Very tidy explanation, thank you.
If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration - Nikola Tesla
That's because the overriding momentum forces synchronization. The overriding is the direction of momentum greater than 50%, then the lower percentage momentum shifts to the majority. If you held hands with people moving in a line, the heaviest person would dictate the others movement.
Not my tempo...
resonance baby
Nature has mysterious ways 🇬🇷👋👋👋
What if one of them set to a slower tempo?
So you’re telling me 2 cans and a platform and it could sync the tempo?!
No reason for me to learn this but to be fun at parties 🧐🍷

First one was a little shy. Also they look like middlefingers

Good recommendation, Tom Scott!
Things that are guaranteed by the laws of physics are not "spontaneous"
I'm a reasonably intelligent person, but I must admit that I have difficulty comprehending many things related to Physics. Same for Quantum Mechanics & String Theory.
i like the video how he asks question how we r sure than shows it. Making it a perfect blend of curiosity followed by solution
This scientist will never make varsity.

Is this how girls drive too?
When they're together. Yes.
That's what 4yrs and $76,000 gets you...a novelty toy and woke socialists destroying your campus.

Is this similar to the mechanism which makes galaxies flatten into disks?
The moving base on the cans synchronises them. The rocking base does this.
First noted and explained by Huygens in the 17th century.
